Maybe more sneaky wordsmithing isn't what's needed right now

EA’s use of loot boxes has faced plenty of scrutiny from consumers, watchdog groups, and even government organizations. Now, they’re doubling down on their stance that loot boxes are actually “surprise mechanics” and the practice is even “quite ethical.” According to the gaming giant’s VP of legal and government affairs, “we also disagree that there’s evidence that shows it [loot boxes] leads to gambling.” We’re sure the dozens of scientific researchers who have affirmed the link would say otherwise.
